Financial Planning Analyst
The Opportunity
The role of the Financial Planning Analyst?is to work on a team of Consultants and Senior Consultants providing support for fee-based financial planning cases. The Analyst will support advisors throughout the country who service a diverse client base. . The Analyst will work proactively with the field and business partners alike, in driving plan input, creating scenarios, stress testing, and developing client Strengths, Opportunities and making any initial observations.
The Team
The Case Consulting Unit ?CCU? seeks to grow financial-planning practices across MassMutual by offering a competitive advantage in financial-planning design and advice, allowing advisors to develop meaningful and long-lasting relationships with their clients.
The CCU is built with collaboration at its foundation. This includes collaboration with the field, but also includes collaboration with your peers. Financial Planning Analysts and Consultants work closely together to achieve a common goal.
The Impact
As a Financial Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for:
Client data entry into leading financial planning software including but not limited to eMoney, Right Capital, Money Guide Elite and Advisys.
Assist team members with basic to intermediate plan analysis, plan design, and development of client strategies to meet client goals. ?
Help manage workflow between advisors/planners and Case Consultants to ensure timely delivery of plans.? Provide a bridge for smooth communication between planners and consultants.
Prepare correspondence and track financial plan progress and communicate where needed.
Research new work-flow solutions that may be relevant in use with software or the financial planning process and make recommendations. ?
Creates, designs and organizes presentation material for senior team members.
Work closely and effectively with Case Consultants and Senior Case Consultants to keep him/her and the team informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities and handle as appropriate.
Develop strong knowledge regarding Financial Planning Services and core company products.
The Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent business experience
3+ years of related Financial Services experience
Ability to conceptualize, apply, and evaluate information to make sound business decisions
Organizational and interpersonal skills including flexibility, thoroughness, accuracy and care in handling details
Communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to express ideas and share information with coworkers, advisors and planners in an accurate manner
Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing
Proactive in responding to and resolving issues
Comfortable using and adapting to new technology
The Ideal Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree
Experience with eMoney or other Financial Planning Software
Eager to learn financial planning concepts.
Worked in a high-volume collaborative team-based environment
