Director of Corporate FP&A

Klaviyo is looking for a Finance Leader who will lead the Corporate FP&A team. Reporting to the VP of FP&A, this role will lead all aspects of the annual budget, monthly/quarterly reporting, forecasting, system enhancements, business partnering and managing a team. The role will work closely with members of all departments at Klaviyo to help track progress against budget and forecast and to understand the respective department’s future spend/hiring and operational goals.
How You'll Make a Difference:
- Lead the annual financial modeling and budgeting process, partnering with the strategic finance team to harmonize this with the long-term financial model and financial targets
- Develop targets and KPIs for the business to inform the annual budgeting process based on best-in-class SaaS growth and efficiency measures
- Partnering with the VP of FP&A and other members of the FP&A team, prepare the consolidated annual and quarterly update forecasts for the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow as well as Key Metrics reporting/ analytics, and decision support
- Lead the monthly consolidation process and monthly forecast rollover
- Present monthly/quarterly forecasts to the finance team and act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and VP of FP&A
- Experience bringing automation and efficiency to the consolidation process by leveraging robotic process automation (RPAs) and machine learning to the forecasting process by leveraging machine learning or other techniques
- Primary business partner for the VP of Treasury, VP of Investor Relations, Corporate Controller, VP Finance Ops, and VP of Internal Audit
- Own the strategy for key planning systems and integrations with other platforms. Leverage and improve current systems to increase productivity and accuracy of the FP&A team
- Participate in the IPO planning process helping to prepare reporting on key non-GAAP metrics and CFO/CEO financial metrics primers once public
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. CFA or MBA a plus
- 7-10 years of Corporate FP&A experience with software companies with a SaaS business model across consolidations, go-to-market and/or engineering/COGS
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high growth environment
- Strong familiarity with SaaS metrics including net retention rate, cohort curves, conversion rates and magic number
- Excellent storyteller with deep strategic thinking, analytical and financial modeling skills
- Error free, attention to detail with passion for achieving a high degree of accuracy
- Outstanding people manager who delegates appropriately and develops their team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Adaptive, NetSuite, and Tableau experience strongly preferred
