Primary Roles and Responsibilities

The Director of Accounting is responsible for consolidating the Company’s worldwide operations on a monthly basis to publish a consolidated view of corporate performance. Reporting to the VP of Accounting, the position will manage US and global accounting to ensure (1) worldwide trial balances are reconciled monthly (2) intercompany transactions and eliminations reflect corporate structure (3) foreign currency accounting follows GAAP (4) oversee annual audit process working with external auditors, providing required supporting documentation.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage monthly global accounting closes, including preparation and communication of global close calendars and close process leadership
  • Prepare and/or review accounting entries for corporate transactions, intercompany settlement and eliminations, and account reconciliations
  • Participate in all financial reporting related activities, such as changes to the chart of accounts, entity reporting hierarchies, user access, consolidation mappings and other processes and controls
  • Will partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury and Operation teams on for internal and external reporting
  • Lead coordination with the company’s external auditors annually
  • Ensure consistent application of GAAP in financial reporting and maintain expertise in financial reporting standards as defined by FASB and the SEC
  • Establish policies and procedures; develop and implement compliance procedures and timely reporting to the independent auditors.
  • Establish internal controls through the development and implementation of policies for IPO readiness
  • Research, document and implement applicable GAAP pronouncements.
  • Execute timely financial reporting ensuring adherence to GAAP.
  • Supervise all US and worldwide accounting teams
  • Establish and implement necessary processes for all accounting software tools.
  • Assist with NetSuite projects and integrations
  • Stock Based Compensation/Equity Accounting

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA a plus
  • Minimum 7-10 years accounting and financial reporting experience
  • Proven ability to work in a multi-currency and legal entity consolidation environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial reporting requirements in a GAAP, SOX and SEC regulated environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with general accounting, foreign currency issues, month end close procedures, eliminations and consolidations, SOX controls and external audit procedures
  • NetSuite -- a must
  • Concur, Airbase, Avalara - preferred
