Staff Accountant
MORSE is an innovative, employee-owned, tech company located in Kendall Square in Cambridge, MA specializing in solving multi-disciplinary problems faced by the US National Security Ecosystem. Our specially selected team of engineers, software developers and scientists develop algorithms, software integrated prototypes and solutions for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Manned and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Mission Planning, and Situational Awareness.
MORSE Corp is looking for a positive, motivated Staff Accountant who will help maintain records of financial transactions of the company. The candidate will be expected to both take over well-established processes, as well as investigate and recommend new processes, systems and practices.
Responsibilities:
ERP book-keeping
Paychex payroll processing
Invoicing
Billing
Excel-based business metrics tracking
Bank account and credit card administration
Monthly reconciliations
Quarterly financial closing
Requirements:
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED or ability to obtain US Security Clearance.
The candidate must be detail oriented, organized, possess strong time management skills, and must have experience with ERP systems and general bookkeeping.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent formal accounting certification
3-5 years experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
Strong written and verbal skills
Detail-oriented
Ability to multi-task and prioritize to ensure completion
ERP experience/Basic accounting/bookkeeping
Proficiency with ERP Systems, Excel and MS Office
Payroll administration experience is a plus
Cash-basis and accrual-basis accounting knowledge is a plus
