Accounting and FP&A Analyst

We are growing rapidly, and we are looking for an Accounting and FP&A Analyst to join our team. As a Hi Marley Accounting and FP&A Analyst you will be part of the FinOps engine that keeps Hi Marley on the accelerated growth and scale trajectory. In this role you will be an efficient business partner that adds value across the entire organization while ensuring accurate and reliable outputs to help facilitate business decision-making.
The Hi Marley Finance team specifically seeks to build a culture of collaboration and innovation.
What you’ll do:
- Own budgeting and variance analysis and reporting on actuals vs forecast; Prepare month end value add commentary
- Lead month end process and reporting to key stakeholders
- Create and distribute executive metrics reporting, summarizing insights across channels and lines of business to cross functional partners and executives
- Manage account reconciliations and ensure overall health of financial statements
- Prepare bi-monthly global payroll; resolve internal inquiries where necessary
- Drive implementation of ERP upgrade, payroll system upgrade and partner with Sales on SFDC enhancements
- Partner with VP of Finance and key stakeholders to produce the annual budget, 3-year strategic plan, and monthly rolling forecast including balance sheet and cash flow forecasting.
- Own internal and external audits
- Communication with tax consultants, filing of annual and periodic corporation tax, sales tax and payroll taxes as required
What we're looking for:
- BA/BS with a concentration in Accounting and/or Finance
- 3+ years’ experience in an Accounting/Finance org; bonus if you’ve worked in a scaling SaaS environment
- You are self-directed, thrive in ambiguous situations, and love to take charge of complex tasks with minimal direction
- You are excited about the opportunity to work in a fast-paced start-up environment, and to be a key partner as we scale the company
- Comfort in a startup environment – we move quickly and wear many hats in a dynamic environment
- You enjoy problem solving - digging into complex and ambiguous data sets and synthesizing the “so what” at an executive level
- You have a good foundation in financial reporting and GAAP accounting and can apply your knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures to solve issues that arise with skill and integrity
- You have strong Excel and accounting system skills
