The event:

Brightcove PLAY is a global gathering of Brightcove customers, partners and industry leaders at the forefront of the digital media revolution. Each year, media companies and marketers from around the world convene for hands-on learning, in-depth strategy sessions, next-generation product demos, all-star keynotes, and networking.

What we are looking for:

Brightcove seeks an energetic, detail-oriented, list loving, report creating, customer oriented Event Marketing Specialist to support the planning and execution of PLAY 2018. Reporting to the VP of Corporate Marketing, you will assist in delivering an exceptional experience for our customers starting pre-registration through attendance and post event follow-up.

This is a 30-hour per week position, beginning in January 2018 ramping up to 40-hours per week through end of May 2018.

What you will do here:

  • Manage the attendee experience from pre-purchase nurturing until they arrive onsite
  • Administer our registration system and oversee customer service and customer self-service resources
  • Develop event marketing emails, advertising, and collateral that drives PLAY registration and exceeds our attendee goals
  • Create custom reports for our internal Account Management and Sales Team
  • Work with travel agency to book hotels and flights for VIP customers and speakers
  • Help on-site before, during, and after the event
  • Coordinate and schedule ancillary dinners and parties for Account Management and Sales Team.

What you will bring here:

  • 2-3 years of demonstrated success in event/project management (preferably at a SaaS technology business)
  • Experience with Salesforce and Eloqua
  • Creativity, ingenuity and a self starter attitude are required
  • Superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with an innate attention to detail
  • Ability to meet and exceed deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or relevant field of study

This role is based out of our Boston office located downtown by South Station.
