6 River Systems is looking for a talented engineer to join the Configuration, Integration and Tools (CIT) team. CIT drives the configuration management across our global fulfillment network, tests the integration between 6 River Systems and customers’ warehouse management system, and develops an ecosystem of tools for automating software releases to a fleet of intelligent Linux-based mobile robots. The TechOps Engineer will take a lead role in building and managing these solutions that help empower our customers and team. The ideal candidate possess a blend of technical and continuous process improvement skills and is looking for a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operations of robots being deployed to new sites by managing system configurations
• Integrate 6 River cloud services with customers’ warehouse management systems
• Work cross-functionally with the engineering and customer success teams on a variety of projects related to SW release and system deployment
• Create and maintain sophisticated tools that will make a meaningful impact on the development and scale of the 6 River automation platform

Position Requirements

• Possess analytical, technical problem solving, and organizational skills that can be applied to real world situations
• Able to cope with fluctuating workloads and high stress situations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Familiar with linux, databases, APIs and network transport technologies: SFTP, HTTPS
• Experience with ROS, XML, JavaScript, Python and cloud based technologies
• Able to write tools and scripts to automate repetitive tasks
• 1-5 years of relevant experience
• BS in engineering, operations, or a related field
