The Devo solutions architecture team will act as an overlay on the solutions/sales engineering, and professional services team. This team will be brought into strategic deals where their expertise is required in a highly technical or competitive situations where their experience will help drive adoption of the Devo operations platform. This team will drive all technical engagements, primarily POC’s and also to help provide SWAT support in competitive deep-dive situations. This team will also be the bridge to any post-sales activities that the customer has requested.
General Job Duties:
  • Working closely with the sales team, sales reps and customers and prospective customers as their key technical advisor, properly advocating Devo's products and services.
  • Identifying all technical issues with customers to drive customer success throughout the sales process
  • Leading technical implementation and Proof-of-Concepts at global strategic accounts i.e. ATT
  • Help deliver multi-cloud solutions for clouds and our customers (AWS, Azure and GCP)
  • Schedule weekly updates with Engineering (platform, security, cloud ops) to provide feedback on feature requests, be conduit for product roadmap and review/prioritize open cases
  • Helping to generate competitive materials, proposed architectures and other complex materials for strategic & competitive opportunities
  • Working closely with the SE & Professional Services teams as an opportunity moves into production to help customers translate workloads being done in other competitive tools into Devo

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated with a consistent track record in technical software sales to IT and/or security stakeholders.
  • A technical security background, preferably within SIEM and other security tools (firewalls, IDS, endpoint protection, content filtering, IAM, DLP etc).
  • Extremely strong communication skills as well as generally extroverted personality, client handling/ expectation setting, exp. with overarching a set of Tech Leads.
  • Able to perform code review/ quality checks.
  • Good elicitation skills; being able to ask consultative questions to extract critical information necessary to make sound recommendations
  • Comfortable approaching total strangers and quickly building rapport.
  • Ability to understand requirements & be able to translate them into solution design/ poc/ pov.
  • Ability to work/ partner with third party/external teams and counterparts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Domain expertise with IT security or compliance (for example, forensics, security operations, incident response, security research, threat detection, security assessments, penetration testing, or security product development) with additional knowledge of security tools, industry trends, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience in deployment, configuration, maintenance of security tools.
