Software Engineering Manager

Payfactors is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to help build and scale our Software Engineering team. The right individual for this role will be a motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented leader who takes extreme pride in their work and has a proven track record of running a successful software engineering team. Primary Responsibilities:
Help build and scale the best software engineering team in the industry
Manage 6-12+ software engineers across multiple Scrum teams
Project management involving contractors, 3rd parties, etc.
Proven ability to recruit A players (phone screening, interviewing, etc.)
Manage and mentor junior to senior software engineers
Motivate teams and maintain software delivery pace
Develop and maintain delivery metrics
Participate in product meetings, scrums, sprint planning, and retros
Requirements/Skills:
Must like challenges and be results driven
Experience managing SaaS software engineering team
Effective communication and relationship building skills
Experience working with cross functional teams
Strong Agile/SCRUM experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
2+ years of software engineering experience, 1+ years in a management role
Boston-area based - No sponsorship or relocation available at this time
