We are searching for a passionate hands-on Engineering Manager to join our talented and growing engineering team in Cambridge. You will help to develop features for MineralTree’s core platform while exhibiting technical leadership in multiple areas including productivity, design and quality.
- Be a part of the breakthrough and innovation for solving real-world software problems while identifying and defining key technologies for software development at MineralTree
- Manage code quality through ongoing code reviews, unit testing and metrics
- Provide leadership for software design and development of MineralTree’s financial products, platforms and architectural designs
- Demonstrate expertise, mentorship and leadership for a variety of field concepts, practices and procedures
- Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals while maintaining design standards and integrity of product quality
- Collaborate cross-functionally with our other teams in Cambridge, MA to accomplish technical and product development initiatives
- Stay abreast of current programming trends within the industry
- Foster team comradery, culture and diversity
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- Leadership experience with recruiting, managing and mentoring a growing software engineering team
- Hands on experience with Java
- Solid understanding of design patterns, objected-oriented design and architectural principles
- Solid understanding of server-side development of web based concurrent applications
- Working knowledge of micro-service architectures
- Broad familiarity with open source technologies in a java ecosystem
- Understanding of modern SDLC/CI processed
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience building and maintaining a multi-tenant SaaS environment
- Experience working with Agile software development methodologies
- Understanding of financial systems, specifically around payments and invoice automation technologies is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment
