POSITION: Software Engineer II

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Position will function independently to serve as a core member of the engineering team to deliver exceptional user experiences by analyzing code at every level, including User Interface, servlets, backend services, databases, tools and ETL; independently design and develop new platforms and scalable web site features and see them used by millions of people shortly after completion; work cross-functionally to review product requirement documents and produce technical specifications; and review designs and provide feedback to others; work in all areas needed to develop and operate a successful consumer web business at scale; mentor junior engineers; and work with software engineering teams to build highly scalable, high performance consumer facing web solutions.

REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field; and two (2) years of post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or in a related position. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; and five (5) years of post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or in a related position. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience will be accepted. Experience must include the following: Data structures and algorithms; Object Oriented Design; Java, Python, Javascript, SQL or Relational Database Development; Linux development; Git; Subversion; HTML, CSS, JavaScript and DOM.
