Key Activities:

• Engage in and improve the whole software development lifecycle - from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement
• Support system rollouts by consulting on system design, capacity planning and launch reviews
• Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall health.
• Ensure high quality support via monitoring and alerting systems. Participate in on call rotation
• Advocate for and design system improvements to reliability and velocity
• Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems

Position Requirements:

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in a one or more languages with the flexibility to pick up new ones. Currently developing in Javascript, C++, and Python
• Interest in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive. Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks
• Self-motivated and able to achieve development goals with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Desired: Knowledge of modern databases and supply chain applications
