EverQuote is looking for a talented, broad-ranged technology generalist with strong Linux, Mac and Cloud skills to join the IT team and help build and scale our evolving operations.  The ideal candidate will possess a passion for deploying stable and resilient technology solutions at the core of our IT service group with the ability to work both autonomously and within a growing collaborative team. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Analyze, design, deploy and operationalize core enterprise technology solutions using existing enterprise standards. 
• Install and configure new servers with operating systems, applications, tools, and patches.
• Monitor network and systems health, responding appropriately to network alerts and events.
• Administer and execute integrations for existing cloud services: GSuite, Okta, Jira/Confluence,Jamf, AWS, Office365
• Design, deployment and administration of core services: LDAP, AD, DNS, Certificate Authority, configuration management, and software deployment.
• Assist in maintaining network data centers, wiring closets, cabling, servers, consoles, switches, routers, etc.
• Documentation of system architecture and management procedures.
• Identify, report and assist in remediation of service outages and security risks to the environment.
• Provide support to the Help Desk team by fielding, analyzing and resolving escalated IT support cases and generating SOP’s for new and existing deployments and processes.
• Work with business partners to understand their technologies, procedures and operations.
• Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems.

About You:

• 5+ years experience with Linux/Mac/Windows administration in a production environment.
• Experience with cloud computing services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
• Solid foundational IT technologies (Networking, Virtualization, Storage and Server systems) 
• Experience with scripting and system automation (Bash, Powershell, Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.) 
• Experience supporting BIND, AD, LDAP, SSO and related services. 
• Experience on Red Hat, CentOS and Ubuntu platforms.
• Experience with centralized device management / MDM tools (Jamf Pro preferred)
• Experience leading projects from architecting to deployment.
• Collaborative and efficient communicator: can build relationships with stakeholders, elicit their needs, and incorporate various ideas and work toward the best technical solutions.
• Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent IT work experience.
