Notemeal creates a new fueling experience for athletes, connecting them with their team dietitian via personalized meal plans, and integrating with the team kitchen through interactive menus, culminating in increased performance through accessible nutrition.

Description

We are looking for a full-stack software engineer with 3+ years experience architecting and building software. We are seeking candidates who have contributed to existing projects, and more importantly, have experience in designing and building projects from the ground up.          

You will join our growing engineering team, working alongside our technical founders. You will be solving problems for high-needs end-users, including USSOCOM soldiers, 1000+ NFL athletes, Gold-medal winning Olympians and a collection of the most renowned Performance Dietitians in the world. You will build out these solutions across the server, web client and mobile app using a modern tech stack: Typescript, GraphQL, Apollo, Ionic, React, Node and Postgres.

Responsibilities

• Translate end-user stories into enhancement and bugfix specs
• Architect solutions in collaborative group sessions, drawing from diverse experience in prior projects
• Implement solutions writing code that is clear, readable and maintainable
• Maintain test coverage of GraphQL resolvers using Jest

Requirements

• 3+ years experience building software, including building projects from the ground up
• Comfort and experience in designing database schemas
• Passion for nutrition, fitness and wellness
• Relocation to Boston, MA
  • We are building an office with a gym, shower and smoothie bar in Spring of 2021!

Nice-to-Have (but not required!)

• Experience as a collegiate/amateur athlete
• You've built, scaled and optimized GraphQL queries
• You've built (and prefer) functional React components
• You have experience architecting complex, multi-tenant, authorization patterns which enable cross-tenant sharing of resources

Founders

Notemeal was founded by Sean Harrington and Kevin Kusch in May of 2019. Prior to Notemeal, both worked for the New England Patriots for a combined 7 years, through 2 super bowl championships. There they led the software and data science team, building applications for the front-office, coaching and performance departments. Sean and Kevin both studied computer science in school (Tufts University and MIT), in addition to playing football and serving as captains of their respective teams. Sean is also active in the nutrigenomics research community via the the Phytebyte project on github, which supports the literature published here. They share a strong passion for nutrition and believe in shipping a valuable product above all else.
