At Perceptive Automata, we use our understanding of human behavior, computer vision, and machine learning to make autonomous vehicles safer for people on and near the road.

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us achieve our bold vision and bring our core technology to market. As a member of our small team, together with our domain experts, you would be focused on developing and integrating our Deep Learning inference with the software stacks of next-generation autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles from the world's top manufacturers. Your work would have a direct impact the success of the company during this critical stage.

Strongly Preferred Skills & Background

• 5+ years experience building complex production-ready systems
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Strong intuition for, and interest in, designing systems for robustness, testability, and scalability
• Strong C++ programming skills
• Familiarity with Python
• Experience with all aspects of the development process, from requirements analysis through deployment
• Comfortable operating and developing in a Linux environment
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of self-motivation and initiative

Also Helpful

• Experience developing a commercial setting developing software for autonomous vehicles would be great but isn’t strictly required
• Functional safety standards such as ISO 26262
• Experience working with sensors used in autonomous vehicles, such as cameras, radar, LIDAR, and IMUs
