The Role

This is a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact on Yardline’s growth trajectory. The Senior QA Engineer will work with a continuously evolving base of technology solutions that we both build out internally and license from third parties, assuring our clients’ access to data-science-backed tools designed to improve their operations. As a QA lead on the Yardline team, you will plan, develop, and execute tests against back-end APIs, front-end applications and data products that are vital to new business lines or existing Yardline products. You will work in a highly-collaborative, cross-functional environment to ensure product quality and offer solutions to technical issues. 

What You'll Do

• Lead QA strategy for multiple projects including APIs and web applications.
• Involved in end-to-end testing of the application and providing sign-off for releases
• Comfortable in a fast paced, ambiguous and often multi-directional work environment.
• Manage the regression testing processes to ensure new code can be released safely.
• Implement and evolve QA processes to get effective test signal and scale testing efforts across multiple products.
• Manage and keep track of the JIRA database to better track QA workload and help production identify the larger issues.
• Have a thorough understanding in formulating test cases that covers positive and negative scenarios to ship robust products.
• Implement test automation framework for better speed and efficiency.
• Document, report, and troubleshoot on technical issues with the goal of confirming product quality and ensuring that past issues do not reoccur.

What you bring to the party

• 7+ years in testing and development experience
• 3+ years of leading a team of QA engineers
• 3+ years of experience delivering in Agile framework
• Have significant experience in testing automation + scripting
• SQL Db development experience
• 2+ years in API testingKnowledge and expertise in JIRA board creation and management
• Fintech and/or ecommerce experience
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
