Position Summary:
Primary responsibility over pre-sales technical support, evaluations and solution consulting to customers, partners and prospects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Technical communication including verbal and written response to inquiries, onsite meetings and industry events.
  • Conduct product demonstrations in support of sales calls, manage evaluations, assess customer technical requirements.
  • Ensure software functions according to product specifications.
  • Provide customer and industry field input, collaborate with product management on product roadmap.
  • Lead or participate in training programs, workshops and industry events.
  • Travel is required.

Business / Technical Competencies:

  • Read, interpret and perform software development activities as required in C/C++ or Java
  • Hands on experience with RogueWave SourcePro or Visualization (Views/JViews) - advantage
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Experience communicating with enterprise technical and business executives.
  • The successful candidate should be detail-oriented, analytical, creative and innovative with strong leadership characteristics.
  • Strong Linux and Windows experience at an administrator level.
  • Ability to understand pertinent technical questions related to the product or application

Required Skills / Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field is required. 
  • 7-10 years work experience in technical pre-sales support, consulting, or software development
  • Prior experience in conducting demonstrations, presentations and software implementations.
