About Alteryx Innovation Labs

The Innovation Labs office, Alteryx's first office presence in Boston, was started earlier this year by the acquisition of MIT-spinout Feature Labs. This rapidly growing team combines the excitement of being part of a fast-paced, innovative startup with the resources, market penetration, and wisdom of a data analytics market leader. Overview

As an Infrastructure Engineer you will lead the Innovation Labs’ effort to deploy, scale, secure and manage our new multi-platform data science product (sorry we can’t say much yet on what it is publicly, but we promise it’s great!). In this role, you will have the opportunity to problem solve, drive projects to success, communicate with stakeholders, and learn from both success and failures as part of a dynamic, friendly and ambitious team with technical influence throughout Alteryx and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Architect the Windows based version of our new product, as well build a CI/CD pipeline for it
• Work with the rest of the infrastructure team to build, design, and scale a Docker-based cloud version of the product
• Develop compliance and security practices across the engineering organization
• Define and promote a culture of rigorous software development practice and high quality standards

Requirements

• 5+ years Windows Server and Powershell experience
• 3+ years experience in Docker-based cloud deployments, ideally with Kubernetes
• Experience in Single and Multi-Tenant Enterprise deployments
• Experience writing clear and effective documentation
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD platforms and tools like CircleCI, Selenium, etc
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform for example)

Bonus

• Significant experience with one of the cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Contributions to open-source frameworks and/or libraries
• Experience in building ML data pipelines
