As a Senior Information Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the administration and development of a wide range of technologies to facilitate the automated response to threats and alerts from the Security Identification Event Monitoring (SIEM) system.
What You'll Do:
The Senior Information Security Engineer will act as an operational lead, collaborating with security analysts and other related security teams to plan and build automated processes. This role will drive the translation of operational runbooks to automated processes in partnership with an internal development team. They must have a strong background in security operations and should be generally familiar with code development processes. As a primary technical point of contact for the SOAR service, the Engineer must be adept at business communication and possess strong interpersonal skills.
Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Information Security, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related curriculum.
- 5-7 years of experience securing cloud agnostic infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and datastores (MySQL, MongoDB, RDS) including use of automation and container deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Chef, Puppet).
- Background in security automation technologies (e.g. IBM Resilient, Demisto, Phantom)
- Experience in shell scripting and programming languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, Go).
- Must understand and have extensive experience with log data aggregation solutions (e.g. Elk, Kafka, and well known SIEM providers).
- Previous exposure and working knowledge of networking architecture and fundamentals.

- Proactively tie technical security risks and to tactical organizational activities and goals.
- Clearly articulate issues and communicate in an effective and personable manner.
- Adjust quickly to the security needs of a highly agile organization, must be flexible and adaptable to change.
