At Veo, we're pushing the envelope on the design of safety-rated sensors for use with industrial robotic systems. We are looking for an innovative and self-driven Image Signal Processing Engineer specializing in camera calibration to help design and implement our novel safety-critical 3D time-of-flight sensing system. In close collaboration with the rest of our camera design team, you'll develop state-of-the art calibration routines with a rigorous approach to noise analysis and reliability.
You will:
- Design, set up, and run experiments to quantify 3D sensor performance and drive hardware design
- Architect and implement algorithms for high reliability sensing
- Design and implement procedures for production 3D ToF camera calibration on automated calibration fixtures
You are:
- An electrical engineer with 3+ years of professional experience giving you deep familiarity with the theory and mathematics underlying signal processing, filter theory, and stochastic processes
- Experienced with FPGA programming and algorithm design
- Methodical in your approach to experimentation and analysis
- Highly collaborative, and excited to work with a multidisciplinary team
- A first-principles thinker who loves to tackle challenging technical problems
- Preferably an MS or PhD in electrical engineering or a related field
Bonus points:
- Experience with 3D sensors, computer vision, machine vision, or industrial automation
- Experience in regulated environments such as medical devices/ISO 13485 or functional safety/IEC 61508/ISO 13849, DO-178C/DO-254 or IEC 26262
