In a “typical” day you will be working with multiple development teams to help ensure production stability and scalability of their software. You will be building tools to help development teams get their code to production more efficiently, and ensure all software is monitored for stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help build the systems and software architecture that power the backbone of our mobile robotics platform.
• Build tools that accelerate the pace engineering can deliver.
• Build highly available and scalable systems in the cloud.
• Participate in engineering on-call rotations
• Apply industry best practices for deploying and scaling software.
• Work with the Product team and other engineering teams to define and prioritize projects.
• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery best practices

Position Requirements:

• At least 5 years of development or operational experience
• Able to administer Unix Systems
• Experienced with Docker
• Kubernetes experience
• Experience one or more on-demand cloud computing platforms
• Experience with a system provisioning tool such as Ansible, Salt, Chef, Puppet, etc.
• Command of a few dynamic and scripting programming languages
• Ability to use SQL and knowledge of running SQL database technologies
• Comfortable diving into a variety of different services and systems to find problems and build solutions.
• Have excellent communication skills, especially when working with a distributed team
• Have experience architecting highly available system
• Nodejs experience
• Experience building internal development tools from the ground up
• Experience with services and deployment to Google Cloud or AWS
• Experience troubleshooting in mission critical production environments
