As a Consulting Architect at Bullhorn, you will serve as trusted technical advisor to our largest customers leveraging our Salesforce products. You will work closely with our Professional Services team members, product managers, UX designers, and developers to guide the evolution of our software and how it delivers value for our customers. You will serve as a key technical bridge -- understanding client requirements and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to craft enhancements that meet our customers’ needs and advance our product. You’ll be helping the team create a customer-centered vision for our software and work closely with customers and development teams to make that vision a reality.
You will help identify, research, and design new solutions to define complex features, breakthrough scalability and performance bottlenecks, and help improve system health.

As a Consulting Architect, a typical day might include:
Engage in technical deep dives with a customer on elements of application architecture, resource consumption, and management of customizations at scale
Collaborating with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to design creative features to advance our platform.
Identifying solutions to technical team impediments, and finding ways to make our development practice better.
Collaborating with other Architects to define architectural principles, patterns, and best practices.
Mentoring and coaching engineers to adhere to those best practices.
This job might be for you if:
You’ve earned a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
You have 7+ years of experience designing and building software for scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
You are comfortable with Salesforce.com Apex and Salesforce.com Lightning and have a solid understanding of Node.js, and J2EE.
You have done the work to become a Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Application Architect, or System Architect
You understand the nuances and challenges of building Salesforce.com integrated web applications.
You have obsessed over use of Sharing rules, coping with Salesforce limits, synchronizing data to other systems, and integrating with off-platform services.
You’re comfortable engaging in technical sparring sessions with customer and partner technical teams.
You’re comfortable crafting data and class models for complex software features.
You’re a tech guru with a passion for continuous improvement who’s excited by finding better designs for software and data.
Bonus points for:
You have strong experience building Software as a Service (SaaS) products
Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs
Expertise in application containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
Experience with performance monitoring and diagnostic tools (ELK, StatsD, etc.)
Knowledge in designing database models for transactional and distributed databases
Expertise in tuning applications and data models for performance
Understanding of event-driven architectures and best practices
