The Regulatory Security Director is a high impact role for a passionate person who enjoys connecting the dots between IT, Security and Compliance.

We are looking for an individual to manage the regulatory aspects of Information Security such as: Managing Information Security Audits and Examinations, Owning Circle’s cyber security policies and procedures, IT Risk Assessments and Controls Matrix, Acting as the Information Security SME to the Circle Compliance team, and Developing automated solutions to streamline regulatory audits and exams.

What you'll work on

• Drive IT projects that implement security controls or are related to mitigating audit and examination gaps
• Work with IT and other stakeholders to identify new processes, procedures and relevant security technology to implement the controls
• Own Circle’s cyber security policies and procedures, the IT Risk Assessment process, incident response disaster recovery plan, and other information security activities that are part of maintaining compliance with the relevant regulatory authorities
• Act as the SME to the Circle Compliance team and often intimately involved in audits and examinations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of broad Information Security experience
• Strong knowledge of risk management methodologies
• Familiarity with common security frameworks and standards, including NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001:27013, CIS CSC, PCI DSS
• Hands-on experience in application development, network engineering and/or system administration
• Excellent presentation, writing and organizational skills
• Good communicator (spoken and written English, other European languages a plus)
• Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role such as consulting services
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations in the US and EU
• Experience leading tabletop exercises for Incident Response and/or DR
• Experience working in a regulated environment such as PCI or SOX
