Principal Software Engineer
- Provide technical consulting on complex to highly complex projects
- Devise or modify procedures to solve highly complex problems
- Lead projects or subprojects of highly technical complexity and responsible for directing and monitoring the work of team members
- Responsible for system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation
- Responsible for quality assurance review
- Provide mentorship to new developers and team
- Lead and consult on the following highly complex activities: develop maintainable/scalable, effective, defect free source code that meets business requirements and team standards, conduct unit test case development, develop highly complex test scripts, conduct impact analysis, develop component design, develop system/application architecture, and Salesforce.com development and integration, including Lightning, Visualforce and Apex
- Support the production support transition and implementation phases
- Work within project team to lead iterative development that delivers a high quality product
- Support interactions with customers and development team to gather and define requirements
- Develop and lead the production of support documentation
- Lead functional/system integration testing support
- Lead quality assurance architecture and design guide review
- Defect or discrepancy in requirements identified and resolved with appropriate partners
- Develop Build and Deployment guide
- Identify and implement appropriate continuous improvement opportunities
- Travel permitted up to 10%
- Telecommuting permitted up to 20%
Qualifications
The position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Position also requires demonstrable experience with each of the following:
- Development such as Java, J2EE, Spring framework, Spring boot, Cloud Foundry, Hibernate, MyBatis and HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript and AngularJS IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, architectures and technical standards, or related mechanisms
- Layered system architectures and layered solutions
- Understanding of shared software concepts
- Java development; Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, or related mechanisms
- Cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, and Test Engineers
- Design Thinking, Behavior and Test-Driven Development, or related mechanisms
- HTML, JavaScript, XML/XSD, Web Services, or related mechanism
- Unit Testing frameworks including Junit, Mockito, or related testing platform
- Object Oriented Design
- Travel permitted up to 10%
- Telecommuting permitted up to 20%
