In support of Humana’s vision to create simple, personalized and reliable experience for our healthcare customers we are embarked on the Technology Modernization journey. One of the key strategic initiatives of the Technology Modernization is transformation of the workloads to the Cloud. We are looking for a Cloud Service Management Principal who will lead the migration factory cloud services.
The Cloud Service Management Principal enables the cloud migration teams to ensure that the migrated workloads have optimal performance, continuity and efficiency in virtualized, on-demand environments. The Principal, Cloud Service Management provides strategic advice and guidance to the Cloud Migration Planning & Design and Migration Execution teams. Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience

 

Responsibilities

 

The Cloud Service Management Principal is a highly visible role that demands a proven expertise managing “current state” to “future state” transformation with focus on agility and speed to value while maintaining high standards of customer service and overall engagement success for the Cloud migration factory. The Cloud Service Management Principal utilizes software that manages and monitors networks, systems and applications not only to guarantee performance to cloud software environments but also to better orchestrate and automate provisioning of resources. Works with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies. Advises one or more areas, programs or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance, and as an advanced subject matter expert competent to work at very high levels in multiple knowledge and functional areas across the enterprise.

 

 

               

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of IT engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in a public Cloud environment.
  • 3+ years of people management experience, leading by engagement, empowerment, continuous feedback, and coaching.
  • Prior demonstrated success in a matrix-managed, cross-functional, and collaborative organization.
  • Prior experience managing large multi-technology teams and being responsible for the execution KPIs, OKRs and timelines.
  • Passionate about both healthcare and Cloud engineering practices.
  • Knowledge of the quality-centric culture and principles.
  • Ability to communicate to both very technical audiences as well as presenting complex technical designs to senior leadership.
  • Visa candidates must work in a Humana Office, if working from out of state, or be willing to relocate to Louisville if no office space is available in their state

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Highly preferred any Cloud specialist certification (Azure Cloud preferred).
  • Understanding of multiple public Cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and providers (Azure, Google and Private Cloud).
  • Familiar with application and workload dependencies, architecture and service level requirements.
  • Understanding of project and program management standards and methods
