We are looking for a unique individual who has both a networking background and a strong DevOps/Cloud mindset. If you're well-versed with Cisco and/or Juniper and want to join a multi-talented DevOps team, we want to hear from you. The person we are looking for will keep us connected, secure, PCI compliant, and highly-available across multiple platforms and geographies, while providing visibility into our configuration and traffic patterns. This Networking/DevOps role is in support of the DevOps mission - "to build and support the tools that empower a best-in-class engineering organization." We are a collaborative, self-aware, smart, driven, fun, innovative company paving the IoT space. Join us!

Our Stack:

  • Infrastructure as Code: AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, Route53, Lambda
  • Network: Juniper, Cisco Meraki, Netgear, and Ruckus, plus some (virtual) Cisco routers in the cloud
  • Platform: Linux (CentOS and Ubuntu), Firmware/Embedded
  • DevOps Tools: Ansible, Vagrant, Terraform, Consul, Puppet, GoCD, Jenkins, Github, Docker, Grafana, New Relic, & more
  • Development: Node.js, Angular, Drupal/PHP, C++, Python, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, & more

About you:

  • Experience with Juniper, Cisco, Meraki and Ruckus gear
  • CI/CD mindset
  • You believe in doing things right the first time, because you know that’s far more pleasant than doing it badly twice
  • Command line fanatic (wherever the command line resides)
  • You are eager to be part of a talented team who can leverage one another for bandwidth, expertise, and growth opportunities
  • Proven track record automating cloud solutions
  • Always thinking of logs, monitors and alerts
  • A team player with excellent communication skills but also comfortable working independently
  • Eager to work in an agile environment on an agile team
  • Love building new things but realize that maintenance is half the battle
  • Security conscious

What you'll be doing:

  • Security: Improve local network segregation to better protect critical/high-security traffic, audit and fix existing network configurations
  • High Availability: Implement and test failover, build and maintain a deployment pipeline for firmware and configurations for (at least) our access switches
  • Continuous Delivery: Working towards a continuous model of change and improvement
  • Visibility: Identify traffic patterns within the network, especially sources of abnormally-high bandwidth usage & alert as necessary, plan for scale and global growth

Bonus Points for:

  • Knowledge of VOIP/Asterisk
  • Experience building relationships with external partners/vendors/carriers
  • Experience in an IoT and microservices environment
