We are looking to hire talented technicians to work collaboratively with our team of engineers. Your main responsibility will be to build, install, test, and maintain the robotic equipment or any related automated production systems. This is a full-time position that is 90% mechanical assembling and 10% debugging, testing, and electrical wiring.

As a technician you will need to identify and resolve assembly issues, follow protocols and instructions, and test the device among other tasks. Although you’ll be working in a collaborative environment, autonomy will be particularly important in this role since you’ll be part of a smaller manufacturing team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine mechanical, electrical and software diagnostic checks on robotic units and related production systems, then fix as necessary
  • Maintain a service record of each device
  • Follow instructions and protocols using onsite equipment to assemble devices
  • Document assembly of devices while following procedures
  • Test devices following protocols
  • Part inspection and de-burring
  • Properly track and update inventory
  • Provide feedback and progress reports
  • Work collaboratively to support the engineering team for daily testing

About You

  • Previous medical device experience is a must
  • Previous experience handling and assembling microscopic pieces
  • Ability to work with a variety of hand tools power tools, fixtures and benchtop instruments
  • Previous work with parts with small features, measuring down to fractions of a millimeter
  • Previous manufacturing and assembly experience
  • Strong soldering skills, ability to solder under a microscope
  • Knowledge about MOLEX, Zif connectors, wire gauges, etc.
