About the Position:
We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager with a combined passion for leadership and technology to join our continuously improving Scrum organization! At the core, this position is focused on leading a team of people. Additionally, our managers have the opportunity to participate on scrum teams, research new technologies, join technology chapters, develop internal tools, and/or develop and test production code. The leadership side is non-negotiable, and the rest is up to your skills and career aspirations.
Serve and collaborate as a team leader in a distributed work environment
Monitor and determine various staffing and professional development needs
Recruit, hire, mentor, coach, and energize engineering staff members
Support staff members in pursuit of their annual goals
Partner with our Scrum organization on various research and development initiatives to identify opportunities for new projects and improved processes
Contribute to the growth and development of our core values: We Before Me, Positive Energy, Knowledge Explorer, and Own It
Contribute to the growth and development of our Scrum organization by promoting Scrum’s values: Courage, Focus, Commitment, Respect and Openness
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
2-5 years of hands on experience leading software teams
2-5 years of hands on leadership experience with Scrum
