Our talented interdisciplinary team in Waltham, MA is growing! We are looking for the kind of people who are inspired just not by exciting technology, but by the opportunity to help build an engineering culture of rigor and excellence.

We have an opening for a Junior Electrical Engineer on our talented team of hardware developers. This is a great opportunity to be mentored by experienced senior engineers while working on cutting-edge computer vision camera systems and high-powered GPU computing platforms. You’ll contribute to the design and testing of Veo’s first product and experience the hardware development lifecycle in a fast-moving startup working within challenging industrial safety regulations.

You will

  • Contribute to design work on the Veo sensor platform and computing platform, including FPGA programming, digital signal processing, and PCB design
  • Generate Bills of Material and source components
  • Prototype and test Veo’s electronic systems throughout various stages of the design cycle
  • Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team to solve Veo's hardware design challenges

You are

  • BS in Electrical Engineering with 1-2 years experience; alternatively, a recent EE graduate with a strong hands-on co-op or internship history in relevant work environments or a project portfolio that demonstrates your relevant electrical engineering skillset
  • Experienced with PCB design
  • Familiar with FPGA programming
  • Comfortable working with standard electronic testing tools, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers
  • Excited about startups, robotics, and engineering excellence
  • A first-principles thinker who can come up with novel solutions to challenging technical problems

Bonus points

  • Familiar with scripting languages such as Python
  • Comfortable with basic mechanical design and a CAD package such as SolidWorks
