We are looking for a junior devops engineer to join our DevOps team. You will use multiple technologies to transform raw data into useful data systems. You’ll help grow and architect our data warehouse, as well as develop strategies to increase the knowledge we can extract. Overall, you’ll strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals. 

You should have a strong interest in data infrastructure, and strategies to combine data from different sources. A background with SQL and NoSQL database architectures is a big plus.


If you are detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills and experience in this field, we’d like to hear from you. 

What you'll do:

  • Analyze, organize, and combine raw data from different sources
  • Architect and build data systems and pipelines
  • Evaluate business needs and objectives
  • Assist developers with designing changes to database schemas and migrations
  • Develop strategy for broad data changes and carry it through to release
  • Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
  • Identify opportunities for data acquisition
  • Develop analytical tools and programs
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, and product management

What you'll bring:

  • 1-3 years of previous experience as a data/infrastructure engineer or in a similar role
  • Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java and Python)
  • Hands-on experience with SQL database design
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS is a plus
  • Degree in Computer Science, Math, IT, or similar work experience
  • Redshift, Postgresql, Mongodb experience a plus
