As our Information Security Architect, you will work with various teams under the direction of Legal, Data Privacy, and Information Security to design, build, and implement solutions to ensure compliance is met and maintained according to recognized and respected industry standards. We are looking for an experienced individual who is able to fulfill the role in a highly remote cloud environment.

The Information Security Architect is responsible for ensuring the security posture of the organization in regards to its technical infrastructure. This includes working with the Cloud Infrastructure and IT teams to design and build a secure cloud production and remote work environment. The Information Security Architect will also be responsible for evaluating and developing solutions for secure access control, certification and accreditation processes, endpoint security, and mobile device management. Responsibilities to this role extend to development of other potentially complex security needs such as cryptography programs and digital identity for compliance frameworks such as NIST and blockchain implementation.

What you’ll do as an Information Security Architect at Notarize:

• Audit and provide security design specifications for an existing and expanding cloud environment
• Work with other teams to implement security improvements and solutions to a cloud and remote infrastructure
• Work with third parties and consultants as a primary point of contact to track and manage infrastructure related projects
• Develop and manage infrastructure related requirements for certification, accreditation, and framework processes
• Develop and manage cryptography programs for compliance frameworks and special projects
• Develop and manage other potentially complex implementations such as blockchain

What we’re looking for:

• 6-8 years of work experience with secure architecture, design, and implementation of cloud and remote infrastructure
• Expert knowledge in AWS cloud infrastructure and related security solutions
• Including cloud network architecture, firewalling, VPN, and related technologies
• Advanced knowledge in programming and scripting languages such as Python and Bash
• Ability to manage and audit infrastructure as code with tools such as Terraform
• Experienced in implementing, managing, and maintaining containers and microservices
• Ability to work with API’s including relevant scripting and coding
• Expert knowledge of security and privacy frameworks such as NIST and/or certification programs such as CSA Star, FedRAMP, HITRUST, and ISO 27000
• Expert knowledge in cryptographic algorithms and implementation, PKI, and blockchain
• Education or certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect (Professional), AWS Security, CISSP-ISSAP preferred
• Superior communication and documentation skills
• Thoughtful communication and collaboration skills, especially in a highly remove environment
• Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
