You’ll be responsible for educating and inspiring our customers and the web design and development community at large using many different content formats.

Professors teach the theory and practice of their subject matter with blended learning content formats, including videos, customer stories, examples, live broadcasts, presentations, and office hours.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining subject matter knowledge on design, web development, and the HubSpot software and the topics in which they are continuously developing their expertise in. They need to keep their own HubSpot product expertise at a very high level and understand how customers might use the product to achieve their goals. You should use the HubSpot product on a regular basis and be in constant communication with HubSpot’s product/development team.

This position can be performed remotely with one or two days per week spent in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It will require minimal travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Update and own the HubSpot design and web development training courses and certifications
  • Work collaboratively with Design Assets, Design Tools and Editor Platform teams to tightly couple the Academy and Product teams.
  • Monitor consistency and quality of Academy assets by editing and proofreading CMS content (created by Academy team members, others in the company, and external contributors).
  • Integrate and ensure consistent messaging, style, and voice across all content pieces with regard to the designer danny persona.
  • Write copy for various assets, such as website pages, emails, and the user interface.
  • Monitor, participate and grow the design forum on community.hubspot.com
  • Contribute regularly to designers.hubspot.com by writing blog post’s, Video’s, knowledge articles and how to’s.
  • Share the ownership of the strategy, planning and execution of developer day(s).

IDEAL CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to manage large and small content projects, bringing them to completion with speed, accuracy, and quality.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • An incredible attention to detail — spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors are your enemy.
  • The ability to organize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
  • A portfolio of educational long- and short-form content.
  • Proven technical proficiency with the HubSpot CMS and other market leading CMS’s.
  • Knowledgeable with industry trends for HTML, CSS and JS.
