We are looking to bring on board a talented and self-motivated Hardware Systems Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing and developing novel complex electro-mechanical systems from conceptualization to production. Please note that this is NOT an Information Technology (IT) position, it is an application of the field of Systems Engineering to hardware development.

The Hardware Systems Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Understanding processes and variables related to 3d printing of metal parts
  • Documenting the relationship between printing and downstream part processing
  • Performing traceability between marketing, product, and test requirements
  • Maintaining and updating requirements and test cases
  • Analyzing attributes of different system components
  • Simulating effects of system configurations on performance and cost
  • Developing design documentation
  • Assisting with verification and interpretation of test results
  • Management of prototyping and production test cases
  • Maintaining high level of communications with cross-functional team, and partners
  • Working with an interdisciplinary team to define, write, and execute designs
  • Informing engineering teams of requirement-critical design elements
  • Develop process flow maps and tolerance analysis

Basic Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop deep understanding of end user needs quickly, and proficiently translate those needs into the right technology solution
  • Ability to resolve complex issues in creative, efficient, and effective ways
  • Proven record of requirements management and execution
  • Experience driving design decisions based on research and testing
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • 5+ years in Systems Engineering roles
  • BS in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or equivalent

  • Additive manufacturing
  • 3D printing
  • Manufacturing or aerospace industry experience
  • Phase-gate design processes
  • Requirements management system administration
  • Capital equipment design
  • Advanced technical degree (MS/PhD)
