We are looking for a hands-on inquisitive hardware team member who loves to build and troubleshoot award winning quality products. The primary role involves working with the Hardware Engineering team to build new designs as well as working closely with the Sales, Fulfillment and Product Support teams.

To excel, you will need the desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a group of adroit and inventive engineers looking to build the world’s largest Sensor Company. The successful candidate must be ready to learn anything, flexible and grow with opportunities while working directly within the small Engineering Technician team.

Preferred qualifications:

BS or AS degree in EET or related and/or 1-2 years of related experience, ability to deliver results with little supervision, attention to small details, natural curiosity and drive to investigate unexplained behavior, experience in a fast-paced environment. Experience and interest in quality processes.

Less than 5% travel may be asked

WITHIN 3 MONTHS, YOU’LL…

  • Become skilled in soldering and assembly.
  • Perform electrical measurements, perform quality engineering validation testing, flash firmware, and perform functional wireless transmission tests.
  • Perform data collection with basic analytics.
  • Experience a dynamic work routine varying between large quantity assemblies for Enterprise level customers to small quantity assemblies for BETA level projects.

WITHIN 6 MONTHS, YOU’LL...

  • Work fluently on complex tasks within a cross-functional team of engineers, fulfillment specialists, and product supporters.
  • Run experiments, help develop assembly and testing routines for new products.
  • Coordinate the quality initiative to improve the quality of deployed devices, investigate defect and failure rates, and delegate shipments of RMA’d Hardware.
  • Perform incoming quality inspections of new devices involving RCA.
  • Become proficient in flashing firmware and debugging in serial-FTDI ports.
  • Become experienced in following assembly procedures and interpreting wiring diagrams.

WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU’LL…

  • Possess a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical assemblies.
  • Be influential in the creation and revisions of product design and assembly procedures.
  • Teach others how to test and assemble products.
  • Uphold operations and communications with contract manufacturers.
  • Participate in electrical component selection, operations, and inventory design.
