As a Mechanical Engineering Director, you will guide a team of talented engineers through the development of our surgical robotic system. You and your team will take ownership of several subsystems and interface closely with the systems engineering and electrical engineering teams to bring together a complete robotic surgicalYour past technical and managerial knowledge will help guide the team through difficult technical challenges as well as help each of your team members grow as engineers.

    • Technical guidance
    • Design evaluation

  • Deliver quality engineering work by creating and enforcing standard procedures and practices through the entire design cycle.
  • Organize, prioritize, and coordinate design schedules.
  • Delegate staff resources to meet investor and company driven goals.
  • Improve the team’s efficiency.
  • Grow the existing team as the design evolves towards production.
  • Interface with other the technical leaders to evolve requirements and facility development.
  • Provide technical guidance into product development strategy.


About You

  • 15+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience in complex electromechanical devices.
  • 5+ years of Management Experience
  • Bachelors or greater in Mechanical Engineering or relevant science.
  • Class II or III Medical device experience under IEC 60601
  • Love to work in a fast-paced development environment
  • Are constantly looking to optimize and improve systems and infrastructure (even beyond what you're immediately working on)
  • Happy to work as part of a cross-functional team, as well as independently
