As a Director of Engineering, you will lead teams, manage and mentor team members, participate in software architecture and design, and be responsible for the development of high-quality software. Responsibilities:

- Direct management of software engineers

- Drive development of software architecture and functionality for NLP software

- Focus on delivering quality code via continuous integration, testing etc

- Promote good software design practices at every stage of development 

- Collaborate with teams in a modern agile environment 

- Mentor team members

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline

- 10+ years of experience as a software developer

- 5+ years of experience managing software teams

- Experience with OOD and object-oriented languages

- Strong people management and mentorship skills

- Possess the passion to design, build and polish innovative applications

- Knowledge of computational linguistics and/or NLP a plus

- Knowledge and experience with relevant technologies such as Elasticsearch and Apache Solr/Lucene considered favorably
