The Brainshark operations team supports Brainshark’s award-winning Sales Training and Coaching platforms, ensuring that Brainshark’s SaaS application is available 24x7 to thousands of customers including over half of the Fortune 500. In the role of DevOps Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of the team’s mission to build, automate, and improve the platform for today and the future.

Responsibilities:

• Work with development and QA teams to provision, automate, and tune multiple pre-production and production environments distributed across colocated datacenter and cloud platforms
• Drive automation processes using methodologies for infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and configuration management with tools such as Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, Visual Studio Team Services, and Powershell DSC
• Configuration and management of Windows Server systems and Microsoft Azure resources
• Monitoring and maintenance of mission-critical components across on-prem and cloud-based environments
• Work with security team to design and implement practices for securely managing and deploying Brainshark’s technology stack
• Participate in after hours on-call rotation

Qualifications:

• 3+ years working in an Operations role in a SaaS environment
• Solid understanding of Microsoft technology stack – Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Powershell, IIS, .Net, SQL, Azure PaaS
• Experience with source control and CI/CD tools such as Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Nexus, SVN
• Strong understanding of networking technologies and protocols used for web-based applications, load balancing technologies, application filtering, high availability
• Experience maintaining datacenter assets – servers, blade chassis, networking gear, storage, cabling
• Understanding of challenges pertaining to securing applications over the public internet

Pluses:

• Proficiency in C#, Angular, Javascript or other programming language used to build web-based applications
• Experience using container technologies such as Docker
• Experience managing Linux environments
