Veo is building complex systems to work in complex environments.  Our UI application, Veo Studio, will provide a high powered interface that allows systems integrators to configure, optimize, and troubleshoot our systems. We’re looking for an talented engineer and architect to be the technical lead for the development of an application that combines 3D graphics and intuitive user experience to help users understand and manipulate a combination of real-time sensor data, CAD models, and virtual 3D concepts.

You Will

  • Design and build a tool for configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting the Veo system, including 3D graphics and intuitive user interface elements
  • Select appropriate languages, tools, and architecture
  • Work with our UX designer and our robotics engineers to develop and optimize workflows
  • Develop high quality, well structured, and testable code
  • Operate outside your area of direct expertise to solve hard problems with the rest of our cross-disciplinary team

You Are

  • An experienced software engineer who has developed applications from concept through production
  • Comfortable developing applications in EITHER Windows native stack (.net, c#, WPF) OR Qt and C++
  • Able to use your communications skills and big picture understanding to help translate high level requirements and business goals into working software
  • A user-focused team member, dedicated to crafting highly usable software and experienced working with usability testing results to improve users’ efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction
  • A first-principles thinker who can invent novel solutions to challenging technical problems
  • Comfortable following a structured software development process required for functional safety certification, including development of rigorous unit and systems tests

Bonus Points

  • Experience building applications including 3D graphics or visualization
  • Experience building applications for highly technical users
  • A background in physics, mathematics, mechanical or electrical engineering, or other discipline that provides an understanding of the analog/physical world
  • Experience building augmented reality applications
