Over the next year we are taking mabl’s design and usability to the next level. This is a challenging project, requiring us to deliver incremental improvements to the core product while continuing to add new features to the product at an unprecedented pace.

As a UX Researcher, you will be a key part of this effort, leading user research activities to discover unmet needs and validating new designs through usability testing. You’ll work with a smart, senior, and high performing product team that knows how to deliver software. mabl has a supportive environment where you can expand your skills and, when needed, go to outside experts to fill any gaps.

UX at mabl

The burgeoning mabl UX team is focussed on ensuring our young product meets our customers’ needs. We bring insights to the entire company through user research and feedback and champion user-centered design practices. Our goal is to inform and empower teams with insights that help them deliver better products.

We conduct and coordinate user research activities, dive into challenging interaction and visual designs, and conduct usability tests to identify and address usability issues. From time to time we even commit UI changes!

Based on research and usage data we invest heavily in improving ease of use and scalability while continually enhancing the overall product.

About you

You are passionate about understanding and solving people’s problems. You have the ability to see the patterns in the data and uncover unmet and unvoiced needs.

Here are some more qualities we are looking for:

• You have experience collaborating with diverse teams, involving them in research activities so they use the research results to deliver the best design possible.
• You believe that direct user research, user feedback, and usage data are critical to the design process.
• You value user observation above all else.
• You recognize and advocate for UX activities that require a longer lead-time before code is written.
• Your research methods are flexible given the goals and time constraints.
