Solutions Engineer - North America
RightHand Robotics (RHR) is building a world-class team to solve the biggest problem in ecommerce logistics: how to fulfill orders, despite demand that’s growing at six times the rate of available labor. Our cutting-edge robotic picking systems manipulate hundreds of thousands of items -- it’s a software-driven, hardware-enabled technology that meets the increasing demands of e-commerce order fulfillment and other industries.
The Solutions Design team works with customers to define how best to apply our RightPick product platform to meet their needs. Solutions Engineers operate at the boundary between sales opportunities and Product, Engineering, and Deployment teams. As a Solutions Engineer, you will work across the customer engagement process to qualify customers, create proposals, build/test prototypes, and analyze production systems.
The role will allow you to work at the intersection of our product capabilities and customer’s objectives. Candidates should have a technical background, strong communication skills, and unrelenting attention to detail.
You will:
- Develop a deep knowledge of the RightHand Robotics Product offering
- Perform technical qualification on customer opportunities
- Create technical content for Estimates and Statements of Work: analysis, models, item tests, renderings, etc
- Generate insights from performance data from deployed robots to achieve system acceptance
- Run customer pick tests and create customer-facing reports on item classification, test results, and pick performance
- Build and maintain tools and processes to accelerate the design effort and improve accuracy of proposals
- Assist in the development of detailed Statements of Work which define deliverables for a project, and communicate these deliverables to to the Operations and Engineering teams
- Build new tools and processes to accelerate the design effort
- Design new customer workspaces in CAD and realize by manufacturing prototypes
- Travel up to 10%
You are (or have):
- 0-3 years of experience in a related discipline
- BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for regular interaction with customers and fellow team members
- Curious about processes, systems, companies, and people
- Desire to work at a startup, to take the initiative to solve problems without having to be asked to, and to persevere even when not all questions have answers
- Ability to answer technical questions in a friendly and encouraging manner
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to articulate accurate project priorities to achieve customer objectives
- Ability to synthesize customer data into actionable information
- Strong presentation skills
Bonus
- Experience in supply chain software or automation
- Experience in a related discipline (pre-sales consulting, professional services)
- Experience with B2B enterprise software projects
- Master's in business or engineering
- Experience in supply chain software or automation
- Experience working with Solidworks or another CAD system, warehouse management systems (WMS), warehouse execution systems (WES), SQL, and data modeling tools
