About The Role:
Our unified Aura creative team was born about a year ago to support all 3 of our go-to-market areas: direct-to-consumer, business-to-business, and employers. Since that time, aside from supporting the day-to-day needs of all of those areas (who all ultimately market to consumers), we also led the development of the first-ever Aura consumer-facing brand, completed the design for our new website and landing pages, developed our first Aura social and other growth channel campaigns, and brought our company together with beautiful internal materials that reflect the Aura brand.
As we look forward to our next phase of growth - brand evolution; website refresh; brand campaigns in TV and out-of-home; integrations with our anticipated NBA team sponsorship and other major influencers; and proliferation of integrated campaigns in many online and offline growth channels including DRTV, social, YouTube, and more - we are seeking an Art Director to partner closely with our VP Marketing Creative Director to help us scale.
The right candidate will combine excellent strategic understanding and business savvy, natural people influence and mentorship skills, talent in creating and critiquing creative in all mediums, and the ability to establish and drive tight and organized processes to ensure our work is delivered on time with high quality. Responsibilities

• Establish and deploy infrastructure and processes to deliver high quality creative within deadlines across all our go-to-market areas
• Work with creative director to staff the portfolio of projects
• Drive projects through to closure
• Ensure understanding of project context and deliverables, and provide feedback to business leaders and creative team to optimize project outcomes
• Develop a deep understanding of our business and organization to ensure work is guided by creative strategies that align with brand and overall business objectives
• Serve as a champion for the Aura brand across departments and verticals, ensuring consistent quality and execution needed to build a world-class consumer brand
• Provide mentorship and guidance to creative team members, setting a high bar for quality
• Working with Creative Director, assess and manage external talent and partner relationships
• Advocate for and improve design and best practices across the company while remaining focused on effectiveness and measurable results
• As appropriate and based on capacity, take on specific streams of creative work to deliver on personally
• Through your own work, and through guidance of others, ensure our team creates compelling creative assets across branding, UI, digital ads, video, decks, and more

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a creative design role
• Strong portfolio showcasing insightful brand and D2C/advertising projects
• Knowledge of best practices that drive results across a wide range of growth and brand channels
• A demonstrable mastery in visual design, typography, and creative ideation
• Deep experience managing projects from concept through completion, keeping time and talent on track
• Experience leading and collaborating with diverse teams
• Adept at managing talent and team processes
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
• Proven track record of success in a dynamic, rapid growth environment
• Bachelor's degree in design or a related field
• Proficiency with creative tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
