Product Designer II (Acquisition)

We’re seeking a Product Designer II to join our growing Growth, Acquisition team to optimize a top-of-funnel experience to acquire and welcome new members to WHOOP. You’ll iterate on current join, gifting, and refer-a-friend flows and also have the opportunity to bring in and build out promotions, partnerships and personalization to our offerings. You’ll work alongside all of Growth in key areas such as Storefront (the wearable side of the experience), as well as Monetization (improving the membership lifecycle to increase value and retention). Your work will expand new ground in the health & fitness space. As we are growing our design team, we are looking for curious problem-solvers who have a passion for craft and a high attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with other designers and product team members to define features, while understanding prioritization alongside the overall direction of Growth at WHOOP
- Map designs back to user needs and iterate based on customer feedback
- Create efficient and elegant experience designs from discussed requirements & future-state ideas
- Provide and solicit constructive feedback on new and existing designs
- Partner with engineering to ensure a high-quality implementation of your designs
- Conduct usability testing, including recruiting test participants, building prototypes, facilitating or observing in research sessions, synthesizing and translating findings into design direction
- Apply systems thinking, looking at new patterns in context to the larger system of the product
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of experience working as a product designer in the field
- Demonstrable experience with common design tools and methodologies (e.g. Figma, wireframing, workflow diagrams, A/B tests, and working on conversion flows)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to proactively build relationships with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders
- Ability to articulate design decisions, advocating for the user at every stage of the design process
- Capacity to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup-like environment
- A thoughtfully crafted portfolio with case studies of product features that you’ve conceptualized and shipped to market from start to finish
