Interactive Prototyper

Caring
- You’ll execute on the mission and vision by playing a critical role in bridging our UX and UI teams, helping our designers and researchers quickly bring ideas to life and then translate those ideas to our engineering partners. Our team of designers and researchers recently completed a redesign of our main product and are in an exciting period of envisioning and crafting what’s next. The User Experience team‘s mission is to use design and innovation to continually improve how people interact with and experience HealthSparq’s products. Using design tenets, including familiarity, consistency, and learnability, we leverage a design system that delivers flexible, modular solutions to help solve complex use cases. Help us imagine and visualize the future in code!
Ownership: What Your Typical Day Will Include
- Contributing to agile teams through design and creating unique prototypes in partnership with design and research.
- Understanding of the needs of users and customers at the beginning of each project.
- Owning the prototyping service to ensure the data used matches the scenario.
- Designing and refining how we prototype–including cadence, tooling, and handoff with engineering.
- Building and extending design system components; document behaviors, accessibility requirements, and usage guidelines.
- Helping UX solve complex technical design problems by building prototypes using existing React components, extending where necessary via API data sources.
- Providing feedback to the designers’ during reviews to ensure patterns stay true to the design system, meet requirements, and get built in-line with data model.
- Providing technical support to UI and other cross-functional teams during sprints.
Respect: How You’ll Use Your Professional Skills
- You’ll use your 2+ years experience in Prototyping, UX/product design and your proficiency in React, Bootstrap, HTML5, and SASS/CSS to:
- Bring a strong attention to design details and create complex, data dense applications.
- Have an ability to iterate quickly and jettison code that doesn’t meet user/project needs.
- Provide complete, actionable, and timely technical feedback to the UX team.
- Use your familiarity in building design system components in React and maintain Storybook documentation.
- Ask the right questions of, and listen actively to, our users, customers, and the market when it comes to design.
- Create clean designs for complex workflows and interactions in our platform.
- Add to your preferred experience with traditional design tools like Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, InVision or Figma.
- Contribute to design thinking on your agile team.
- Build a shared vision and enthusiasm about design with our internal teams.
