Jobcase is looking for a mid to senior Software Engineer to join our Machine Learning Platform team at our HQ in Kendall Square. This is a great opportunity to work with new technologies and field and make real impact to our business process and outputs. 

What you’ll be doing here

• You will be a major contributor to the development of a machine learning platform used by our data analysts that will enhance how they conduct their work, and gradually transform the company’s business analytic operations to be more and more machine learning based, real time, and large throughput
• As a member of the platform team, you will be supporting the entire ML workflow, from generation of large datasets, building models and comparing them, to deploying them to production and continued monitoring and refinements
• Working in a small team, you will participate in many aspects of the development lifecycle, from understanding our complex problems, to designing and developing a solution, to deployment to our cloud infrastructure
• You will be in a highly visible position that has a lot of potential for learning and growth

About you and your skills

• Proficient in developing software in Java or Python
• Experience with big data technology stack and data stores
• Experience with developing products to be deployed to a cloud infrastructure
• Experience with relational database design and SQL
• Several years of building commercial maintainable applications, preferably data-driven products
• Demonstrable capability of learning new technologies quickly, for example new programming languages or new frameworks
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where change and adjustments are the norm
• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Math. BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Self-starter and work independently
• Nice to have - prior experience with Machine Learning or TensorFlow

About you and your skills

• 2+ years of experience with data cleaning, model fitting, prediction, and interpretation using common statistical toolkits or libraries
• Experience with R, Python, SQL
• Clear communication skills
• Experience with web technologies and consumer behavior is a plus
