We are looking for a software engineer responsible for designing and building the data definition framework at Jobcase. You’ll be solving problems associated with the custom compiler, code-generation and DSL components that serve as a basis for our organization-wide data infrastructure. As a member of our growing team, you will be responsible for all aspects of the development lifecycle and work with other engineers throughout our rigorous, highly-collaborative process.

What you’ll be doing here:

• Contributing to DSL compiler implementation and language
• Generating code and artifacts for various technologies and stacks
• Designing and implementing tools for the other engineering teams to use
• Writing tested, idiomatic, and documented Scala
• Solving complex computer science problems
• Constantly learning new things
• Collaborating with other developers to improve tooling, solicit their feedback, promote tooling adoption within Jobcase

About you and your Skills

• Must love automation and programming languages
• Proficiency with enterprise Scala and Java
• Past experience as a backend developer
• Familiarity with large scale and distributed computing architecture, SOA
• Relational and non-relational databases (OLTP and OLAP), SQL
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery processes
• BS degree in Computer Science or related field
• Highly-developed written communication skills and attention to detail
