Our data engineering team is looking for a top engineer who strives to design, build, deploy, and manage complex data sets to give our customers and business real-time data insights. Whether you have worked in the property management industry or not, you will find Buildium’s drive to be the best contagious and the data will make it happen.

What you'll do:

  • Lead a team of data engineers to:
    • Build a distributed ETL system within our AWS environment using tools like Kinesis and Lambda
    • Design and enrich data pipelines to combine disparate data from batch and real-time data sources
    • Profile data sources, measure data quality and create systems to ensure data quality for production health and machine learning
    • Develop and maintain an internal reference data architecture and reference data pipeline
  • Work with areas of the business and product to prioritize and refine the work of the team in an agile environment
  • Explore the latest data processing products and library from technology vendors and open source packages

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of experience in application development with experience in data pipeline development a plus
  • Detailed oriented and driven by the importance of the semantics and integrity of data
  • Lead experience is a plus
  • Hands-on expert level experience with SQL and Python with strong opinions on code quality and style
  • Knowledge of AWS ECS, Kinesis, Lambda and experience working with databases like Redshift and MySql
  • Knowledge of and aptitude for machine learning development and implementation
  • Hands-on experience working with and creating REST web services and APIs
  • Strong programming skills with good coding disciplines and ability to review code and provide feedback
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and exhibits a positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude
