About Salary Finance

Salary Finance is a fintech company underpinned by a social purpose. Our mission is to make the lives of millions of working people less stressful, more productive, and much happier. We partner with leading employers to offer financial wellness benefits that help employees improve their lives by improving their finances.

In 2018, we expanded operations to the US with support from our UK headquarters. Today, our US team is located in Boston’s Seaport District under the leadership of SoFi co-founder Dan Macklin as CEO of Salary Finance Inc.

We’re growing fast in the US market with our recent $32.8 million Series C funding, backed by existing investors Blenheim Chalcot and Legal & General. We were named BITC’s Responsible Business of the Year 2018, included in KPMG’s Global Fintech 100, listed top of the Forbes’ list of socially-responsible startups, recognized by Built in Boston and MassEcon for investing in innovative thinkers, and profiled by the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, and more.

  • You have 3+ years experience in a decision science / data analytics function, ideally in a consumer credit environment.

  • You have experience building or leveraging statistical models to improve business results.

  • You know how to take calculated risks with the diligence to size the exposure of a potential mistake and the humility to call out deviations promptly and adjust.

  • You have strong technical database and analysis skills and are a power user of SQL and R.

  • You collaborate across non-technical fields to understand their challenges and deliver solutions.

  • You are capable of presenting complex technical details, concepts and information in an easy to understand format.

  • Enhance monitoring of credit risk, profitability and other areas of business performance.

  • Continuously improve on NPV models.

  • Refine existing and develop new models to reduce risk, manage profit margins, and improve efficiency.

  • Collaborate with other areas of the business - forecasting the portfolio with Finance, analyzing customer profiles with Marketing, designing solutions for employer prospects with Sales, developing requirements with Product and optimizing processes with Operations.

  • Work within a multi-discipline SCRUM team including Product Management, Development, Technology, QA and User Experience Design to ensure the integrity of data across the business.
