Reporting to the Sr. Director of FP&A, this Sr. Financial Business Analyst position is part of a team responsible for the construction and delivery of accurate, high quality financial information to team members, managers and TripAdvisor’s Sr. Leadership Team. In addition, the Sr. Financial Business Analyst role will have responsibilities focused on building data models in Excel and/or SQL, delivering both existing and new financial analyses as well as prepare and deliver executive level presentations. The Sr. Analyst role requires ability to form strong relationships with all levels across the organization to support shared analyses, best practices and help guide TripAdvisor to success

What you’ll do:

• Support members of the FP&A organization, and working with our existing data tables, to design and build reporting in Tableau to allow for good decision-making.
• Analyze large data sets to determine trending information and provide insight.

• Present findings to internal stakeholders at executive leadership meetings.
• Consolidate data from various data sources including our revenue and traffic acquisition teams.
• Form strong working relationships with technical, financial and sales individuals.

• As an essential part of the TripAdvisor FP&A team, you will be expected to be flexible and assist with ad-hoc projects

What you’ll bring to the team:

• 5+ years’ experience in business / customer intelligence, business analysis, or database marketing
• Prior experience with business partner relationship management, particularly with a sales or marketing team or similar operational business unit
• Strong relationship building experience with ability to guide and influence key business unit owners
• Thorough knowledge of Excel and SQL with their data and analysis tools
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence software required (Tableau a plus)
• Experience with PPC/SEO/SEM a plus
• Strong qualitative and quantitative skills, with a demonstrated passion for using data to drive decision making
• Extremely organized with the ability to contribute to multiple projects within tight time lines
• A team player, able to step in and help out other members of the team when needed
• An inquisitive nature, someone who wants to explore variances and understand the root cause
• An individual who is able to work effectively in a complex, changing environment and to adapt to change while focusing on key goals and objectives
