The role of Scientist, Bioprocess Analytics will develop, implement and execute new assays to support bioprocessing and formulation goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and leading execution of bench-scale process development experiments for characterization of microbial cultures and production parameters
  • Development of reliable quantitative biological assays to monitor microbial kinetics and downstream processing methodologies
  • Development of targeted biological metabolite production assays
  • Work collaboratively with project management, microbial analytics and quality assurance to build Indigo’s capabilities
  • Provide critical feed-back on experimental progress to team and manager and provide timely recommendations for further advancing Indigo's technology

 

Competencies:

  • Competency in molecular purification
  • Effective communication to team and management
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly

Qualifications:

  • M.S. or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field
  • Proven track-record of methods development
  • Expertise in designing wet-lab analytical methods
  • Expertise in general biochemistry
  • Experience in executing and analysis of data from some forms of the following; HPLC, GC, Mass Spec
  • Familiarity with metabolic expression drivers
  • Familiarity with fermentation

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
