The role of Research Associate, Field Sciences will report to the Director, Field Sciences, supporting the evaluation of novel products as a component of the R&D pipeline. This candidate will use their knowledge of agronomy and field sciences to support the development of experimental design, implementation and analyze results. Additionally, this position will play a key role in the continual improvement of the R&D pipeline.
Outcomes & Responsibilities:
- Support management of R&D field trials conducted by external research organizations
- Support development of trial protocols across several crops and objective types
- Independently conduct field visits, create site visit reports and share findings with key stakeholders
- Effective communication with CROs to ensure field trials meet objectives
- Follow protocols for note collection across several crops
- Collect, process and ship various sample types from trial location
- Timely delivery of high quality field data and experimental results to key stakeholders
- Data entry and QC using corporate data systems
- Support analysis of experimental results
- Communicate crop progress and results to R&D organization

Qualifications:
- S. in agronomy or related field
- Experience in agronomic management in at least one field crop (1+ years): rice, corn, soybean, wheat, cotton and/or other small grains
- Experience working with CROs and external collaborators preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, matching seasonality of crop
- Proficiency with software systems and use of technology tools
- Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Zoom meeting platform

- ARM (Preferred)
- Spotfire (Preferred)
